What is Company Bread?

Company Bread is a subscription service that lets you get home-baked bread and other treats delivered to your door. It's a one-person shop: learn more about my background and process here.

What are the subscription options?

You have two choices: (1) Receive two of my signature "home loaves," selecting the type of bread you'd like to receive. (2) Receive those two loaves and a surprise baker's choice: an item that I choose to bake each month. Both subscription options include a monthly surprise treat that will be included with one of your deliveries and occasional recipe suggestions specific to your home loaf.

How often are deliveries?

Loaves are delivered twice each month, on the first and third Wednesday of the month. Baker's choice items are delivered the last Wednesday of the month. Items are packaged and left at your door or another specified location at your home.

Where do you deliver?

At this time, I deliver anywhere within a ten-mile radius of Collinsville, CT. That generally includes most of Canton, Avon, Simsbury, Burlington, Farmington, and New Hartford. If you're not sure if you're in the delivery area, just ask!

Does Company Bread use a licensed kitchen?

My home kitchen is licensed under CT's Cottage Food law: the kitchen and storage spaces passed inspection, the foods have been approved by the Department of Consumer Protection, and I have obtained food safety certification. My space differs from a standard commercial kitchen in that it is not subject to routine government food safety inspection. Learn more about CT's Cottage Food law here.

Can I find your bread anywhere else?

Not yet. Connecticut's cottage food law requires that kitchens deliver goods directly to consumers. Some cottage food purveyors sell goods at farmer's markets, but Company Bread is only a delivery service. Cottage food kitchens are prohibited from selling goods in retail locations or at restaurants.

What if I have allergies or food restrictions?

I bake in a kitchen with many common allergens, such as nuts, soy, dairy, eggs, etc. Unfortunately, that means I cannot at this time accommodate dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

What are some examples of surprise monthly treats?

Monthly treats tend to be small bites and confections, or accompaniments to the breads you receive. Some examples are brown butter chocolate "baci" (brownie bites), candied nuts, and homemade jams.

Can I request a specific baker's choice or monthly treat?

It can't hurt to ask! I probably won't fulfill specific requests as they are made, but I can incorporate your requests into future plans. Please email me at companybreadct@gmail.com to request favorites, make suggestions, or ask for something you haven't seen yet. I'd love to hear your feedback, as my goal is to develop a baking relationship with you.

Can I add an extra loaf to my delivery?

Yes! You can add any number of signature home loaves to any regular delivery. Please email me at companybreadct@gmail.com at least three days prior to your delivery date to make your request. Each extra loaf costs $6 dollars and will be added to your monthly invoice.

Do you sell gift cards or offer gift deliveries?

Of course! Please email me at companybreadct@gmail.com, and I'll be happy to work with you on a gift.

How does payment work?

After the final delivery of each month, I'll send you an invoice, and you can pay with cash, check, PayPal, or Venmo. I'll provide more information on how to complete payment in an email with your invoice.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

You can change or cancel at any time by emailing me directly at companybreadct@gmail.com. Please make changes (including changing your home loaf selection, adding extra loaves, or opting in or out of the baker's choice) at least three days prior to your next delivery. There is no charge for changing your order, and, if you are choosing to cancel, you will only be charged for bread you've already received.
